The Department of Primary Education of the University of Crete and the Centre for the Study of the History of Education and the Teaching Profession (C.S.R.H.E.T.P.) implemented the Pedagogical and Didactic Competence Programme between 2013 and 2019. This Program was designed to meet the existing needs for further education and training of potential teachers, according to the Law 3848/2010, Law 4186/2013 and Law 4521/2018. The Programme was of annual duration, 440 hours, distributed over 2 academic semesters of study. The courses were conducted in a blended learning format. Successful completion of the Programme led to the award of a Certificate entitled "Certificate of Pedagogical and Didactic Competence", which was a necessary qualification for employment. 1.267 persons received the Certificate.
